Cricket awesome Hanif Mohammad battles for life at Karachi clinic
KARACHI: Pakistan's cricket awesome Hanif Mohammad was on Monday moved to a ventilator after he confronted respiratory confusions amid his continuous treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital here, his child Shoaib Mohammad told DawnNews.
The previous batting legend, who is experiencing lung growth, was admitted to the healing center on July 31 following a two-week-long battle with breathing issues and clog, Shoaib told Dawn.com.
In the wake of being determined to have lung growth in 2013, Hanif experienced surgery in London which brought it under control, Shoaib said. "Be that as it may, the disease spread with time."
"We sent the most recent biopsy to our specialist in London and he said that chemotherapy won't be a powerful alternative for further treatment."
Shoaib, who is a Pakistan International Airlines worker, said new medications are costly and will be troublesome for him to fund all alone.
"The most recent and viable treatment for this issue costs twofold the measure of the past treatment and we will require the assistance of the legislature — likely from games assets to help his (Hanif's) recuperation," he said.
Conceived on Dec 21, 1934 in Junagarh, Hanif played 55 Test matches for Pakistan between 1952-53 and 1969-70 and arrived at the midpoint of a fine 43.98 involving twelve hundreds.
