COLOMBO: Australian quick bowler Mitchell Starc swelled with family pride Monday after his child sibling Brandon earned a spot in the last of the men's high seize the Olympics.

“I'm pretty excited and proud of the younger brother to represent his country in the Olympics,” Starc told reporters.

Starc senior was also a keen high jumper in his school days before forging his career as a cricketer.

Although Australia have had a poor tour of Sri Lanka, losing their first two Tests, Mitchell has been in hot form and took five wickets in Sri Lanka's first innings of the ongoing Test at Colombo's Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) ground.
