COLOMBO: Pakistan on Wednesday jumped Australia to secure the second position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings after Sri Lanka finished a 3-0 whitewash over Steven Smith's side with a 163-run triumph.

Taking after India's arrangement triumph against West Indies amid the progressing four-match Test arrangement, Australia needed to win their last Test against the Lankans to stay at the highest point of the table.

Notwithstanding, their annihilation implied that Virat Kohli's men have recovered the main spot.
Pakistan will watch out for the last Test between West Indies and India that begins Thursday, as a draw or the last's annihilation will see Pakistan beat the table.
