The meeting was initiated by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, who said the gathering was a "really earth shattering event [in the] history of popular government in the district". 

"South Asia must not remain a detainee of the past and ought to concoct new thoughts for the future," he said. 

He encouraged agents to cooperate and outline an arrangement for the gathering to meet routinely to stream line activities by means of administrative, delegate and oversight devices for youth liberation. 

Saarc Secretary General Arjun Bahadur Thapa said the number of inhabitants in South Asia is developing and that the potential offered by the young could be utilized for neediness destruction as a part of the area. 

The EU Delegation to Pakistan's acting head Stefano Gatto said the duty of fortifying vote based system in the area fell on all South Asian nations. 

PPP MNA Shazia Marri proposed the gathering be utilized for alleviating strife between part nations. 

The convenor of the meeting, MNA Malik Mohammad Uzair Khan, said the gathering is a stage towards accomplishing peace and concordance in the district and that the gathering had highlighted better approaches to face a few difficulties. 

Various youthful Pakistani parliamentarians including Maryam Aurangzeb and Shaza Malik took an interest in the occasion. 

Conversing with Dawn, Maryam Aurangzeb said the gathering is vital for South Asian nations as their young pioneers can concoct answers for basic issues.
