RIO DE JANEIRO: Love is noticeable all around at the Olympic jumping pool. He Zi of China settled for silver in ladies' 3-meter springboard on Sunday before tolerating a much greater prize: a wedding band.

Zi's sweetheart and kindred jumper Qin Kai astonished her with a proposition to be engaged as she ventured off the award platform.

A genuine looking Qin got down on twisted knee and seemed to talk finally to Zi before opening a little box. Qin took out the ring and after she gravely gestured yes, Qin slipped it on her finger.

Zi applauded her right hand over her eyes and Qin introduced her a red rose encased in glass. The group cheered its endorsement.

Alternate jumpers ceased what they were doing and viewed in shock. "Gracious, I'm so upbeat for him," said American Abby Johnston, who completed twelfth and rearward in the opposition.

Qin push both arms triumphantly as they cleared out the platform. The couple's partner, Shi Tingmao, won her second gold in Rio, including the individual 3-meter title to her prior triumph in synchronized springboard.

Shi totaled 406.05 focuses. Shi and Zi were tied after two rounds before Shi led the pack for good on her third jump. Zi completed second at 387.90.

Tania Cagnotto of Italy earned bronze at 372.80. He conveyed the red rose holder to the medalists' news gathering alongside her silver decoration.

She said the couple has been dating for a long time and Qin's proposition was an amazement. "He said a great deal of things," Zi said, depicting Qin's discourse.

"He made a ton of guarantees, yet the most vital thing is this is the person I can trust for whatever remains of my life."

Shi was energized for 25-year-old Zi and 30-year-old Qin, who earned bronze in men's 3-meter synchro in Rio.

"Them two have experienced a great deal," she said. "It's an awesome minute. Qin said all that needed to be said, 'This is the way it should be."

Being Italian, Cagnotto knows some things about love. "I was truly upbeat for those two," she said. "It's a truly awesome minute to request that her wed him. "
